One of the most frequent problems we see with digital cameras is a zoom lens that will not zoom, because the
lens is out of alignment. This may have been caused by rough handling or some type of impact. The camera is usually not able to focus in this condition and will not fire. The camera may print out "system error" or not turn on properly. Realigning the zoom lens and or resetting the zoom barrel guide pins, that may have been pushed out of their slots, allows the lens to focus and zoom.

Wonderful to have such a store Available
Fixed my camera - a canon SD900ti - in a day. They knew exactly what was wrong when they looked at it, without even taking it apart, and gave me a reasonable quote of $50 and all of it was repaired by the next day. Good customer service. They were also helpful with other electronic issues I asked about while I was there. I damaged the camera by taking photos in the mist of niagara falls - not a good idea. I thought the water damage was permanent. I was so worried about the camera because it was a wedding gift - though it was now three years old I didn't really want to replace it with a new one but thought I would have to because often knowadays it is cheaper to replace electronics than get them mended. Well, I get to keep my camera which works well and I know have the card of the shop to put in my address book so that I won't automatically replace things when they break in future but will go to them first.
Yes to this Store!...
The customer service was friendly, professional, and honest. The price to fix my Cannon Powershot SD450 LCD screen was WAY reasonable. $65. And to boot, it was ready in just a few hours. I walked to the park, then to the East River, and then popped my head in and they said it would be ready earlier than I expected. Yay! I will certainly come again when an electronic needs fixing. Five Stars for Hi-Tech Electronics Inc!!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend it. Now, I'll have my camera ready for my trip this weekend. Thanks, One very satisfied customer.
